At Nature's Way Lifestyle Centre , we believe that the human person is an incomprehensibly wonderful creation made in the image of God. The human person is multifaceted like a diamond. Like a diamond, it is of high value. The diamond does not have parts but facets or aspects that reflect the light. We can distinguish separate facets but always see the whole. This is called "holism."The erosion of any facets will deform the whole diamond. At Nature's Way Lifestyle Centre, we don't just deal with the body but with the whole being. We believe in nature, natural food, and herbs as being part of well-being.
The philosophy of natural medicine is to rely on the innate healing principle of the human body. This homeostasis (balance seeking) mechanism works well when the body forms part of a state of well-being. Health is a state of complete physical, mental and and social well-being. A system is more than the sum total of its parts. A person is the product of all the elements plus the interaction. Wellbeing is a holistic phenomenon where relationships (social), meaning and purpose (spiritual), emotional, and all other aspects of human existence contribute towards a state of well-being. This model implies that it does not make sense to treat a disease unless the wellness of that person is at the same time enhanced. Disease is a symptom of illness (lack of wellness), and health will ensure where there is wellness.We offer selected wellness therapies that aim to promote wholeness.
